I founded a podcast to explore the lives of global martial arts practitioners, while learning how to use a full stack of digital tools to become a solo content creator: conducting interviews, editing audio and video, and marketing to a global audience. To date I’ve published over 70 episodes featuring individuals from 30 countries in 6 continents. This work is supported on Patreon.

Female Empowerment
I founded the “Women in Budo Exhibition” as a tribute to the incredible women who have represented our country on the world stage, and to learn how the martial arts have influenced their professional and personal lives. I hope these lessons of courage, adaptability, and resilience provide inspiration for young girls (like my daughter) to find meaning and impact in this everchanging world.
Study Group
I founded a virtual study group to discuss and explore “breathing” from a wide-range of perspectives and have so far invited guests that include: A professional opera singer, record-holding free diver, professor of ornithology, reiki master, practitioner of eastern medicine, animal anatomy / physiology researcher, and music engraver / trumpet player.

Research Project
I conducted a global research project on the implications of behavioural norms and religious differences in multicultural environments. The insights report was developed in collaboration with leaders from 25+ countries and included a mixture of primary and secondary research methods.
National Team Program
I founded the Pan-American Iaido Championships and Team Canada Iaido program as a platform to develop and promote the numerous home-grown talents in the art of Japanese swordsmanship. Members of Team Canada Iaido have represented the country in multiple tournaments internationally, and have earned several medals (including 3 Golds) over the years. I continue to serve as Program Director, and have held multiple positions, including Coach, Manager, and Team Captain.
